Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are multiple package options available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

A regional fantasy map generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
